M Most of the women in the United States are single. Never married, divorced, widowed. The single woman who has never married, and has no children faces unique challenges.
V Her rent is the same as the next-door neighbors where there may be two incomes. Single living costs are more than half that of married people. In an emergency, she does not have a spouse or children to back her up. Start young to take advantage of time for your retirement portfolio. She should keep a reserve of 12--18 months living costs in reserve. Yes, that’s twice the recommended.
