Famine 1

M Rarely do we consider that we might experience shortages of food in our country.  There is no challenge we might face that Scripture does not offer wisdom.

V There were 10 famine periods in the Old Testament.  Fear and even death were faced in environments which were very conducive to the support of human beings, no famine necessary.  What caused the famines?  Cultural decisions, indecisions, and indifference were the major factors.  Each of those 3 is present today in our country. 

M Self-interest of the powerful being indifferent to ordinary people, promotes shortages and inflation. We need servant hearted leaders like Joseph in Egypt.  He valued his people, planned for the future, and served them well.
