Advantages of disruption

I’m Miriam Neff-with and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan with Wise Women Managing Money

M Shaky times and economic disruptions can have benefits. Recent disruptions in parents’ employment and increasing costs have families talking more than ever before about money.  43% of parents are taking with their children more, and of those, 47% have those talks weekly.

In a recent disruptive time 67% of families experienced a negative impact. Stressful for sure.

V  Flexibility required. It’s ok for children to realize that less money coming in means reducing spending.  That’s biblical.  Increasing credit card debt is not. These talks may not be easy.  Discussion time should not be when everyone is tired and hungry.

Families talking more with their children about money is important.   ‘Yes, we talk about money even in hard times.”
