M Since God entrusts us with all we have, it’s important that we steward what is His wisely. We’ve been sharing tips on mistakes people make when looking for a financial advisor. One mistake is not asking about their credentials.
V To give investment advice, some financial advisors pass a test. Ask your advisor about their licenses, tests, and credentials. Financial advisors tests include the Series 7, and Series 66 or Series 65. Some advisors go a step further and become a Certified Financial Planner, or CFP.
To summarize, DO NOT
1. Hire an Advisor Who Is Not a Fiduciary
2. Hire the First Advisor You Meet
3. Choose an Advisor with the Wrong Specialty
4 Neglect Asking about Credentials
