Feeling Poor

M Economic hard times contrast with this festive season.  Attending expensive performances and wearing expensive clothing?  Not an option. James 2 that outward appearance DOES NOT MATTER to God or people who truly follow him. 

Here’s an example in my yard.  My walnut tree is ugly now.  Losing its leaves first, its stark branches look like grasping tentacles.  My pear tree by contrast still has brilliant red and green leaves--beautiful.

V But the walnut tree has shed nutrition all around it.  Squirrels will dig under snow and birds will feast on nutmeats when the pear tree offers nothing.

Remember this season of sparkle and stuff, that God looks on the inside and so should we.
