M  An old adage states: ‘There are only 2 sure things, death and taxes.’ We would add a third, though not agreed on by all, is life after death. Considering tax implications throughout the year is good stewardship.

V  Philanthropic organizations are more efficient in using finances for good causes.  Our government is not.  End of the year giving is common but consider that people’s needs are not just end of the year, but throughout all months.  Are you required to distribute money from your IRA.  Donate stock or money directly to your church of favorite charity.  No ‘hair cut’ goes to the government. 

M Do you have a boat, car, or building to donate?  Again, donate directly.  Good stewardship indeed.
