Proverbs 31 # 2

I’m Miriam Neff,  and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money

M  Women in the workplace have opportunities and challenges.  The Proverbs 31 woman, our example, had a broad skill set and was successful in diverse areas of work. She was a great overseer, paid attention and monitored what she did. Diligent indeed.

V  It’s easy to look at the tasks she did and sigh.  “I can’t do all that.” She also probably built those skills over time. And she had help.  But the point is her character.  She had noble character, she had strength and dignity, confidence in the days ahead.  The conclusion, verse s 31: “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”

M Her most important characteristic?  Her reverence for God.
