College financing # 5

M Are you in a desirable financial situation where you can provide college expenses for someone else?  My friends who help many in their extended family have guidelines.

V  They stipulate a grade point average (no, not a 4 point).  They also stipulate what it can be used for--tuition, not social organizations.  Drug involvement?  End of agreement.  If you are providing that financing, you may choose criterion important to you.  You may have other values important for your generosity.   It’s about facilitating the good, but not encouraging the bad, or being wasteful.

M One couple stipulated one year at a faith-based college first.   We are called to be generous, not to enable.
