Watching Generation X # 3

I’m Miriam Neff, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money

M We’ve noted that millennials and generation Xers inherited 3 good financial habits from their parents.  Frugality, knowing the value of hard-earned money, and the impact of education as good paths to financial success.

V  Note that all of these are biblical.  Frugality.  Spend less than you earn, Proverbs 24: 27.  A good work ethic (throughout the bible). Learn and be wise. We would add that recent statistics show that college debt, which in 2020 was $28,400 is not wise.  Certifications, trade apprenticeships, and other learning opportunities are great.

M This research simply highlights that biblical principles on finances are good for all.  As families, we have the great opportunity to teach them through our words and actions.  A great inheritance for sure.
