Continual Inflation #1
I’m Miriam Neff with WWMM and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan.
M In times of continuing inflation, we tend to hope that prices will go down. Supplies will go up, and our budget problem will be solved. This is not reality at this time.
V Joseph in Egypt filled storehouses of grain for the coming famine. A parallel today is that we need that 3–6-month budget reserve AT ALL TIMES.
Whether our budget disruption is inflation, a car repair, or appliance demise, stuff happens. In that time, we change our spending habits to accommodate that reduced level of buying capacity. Changing heating and cooling wishes, traveling less, eating oatmeal not sugar-coated cereal. We must choose.
M Our lightest change signals to God, we want to be good stewards.
