Identifying Our Problem
I’m Miriam Neff with WWMM and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan.
M Let’s get real. What is our: yours and mine, greatest money problem? “I make too small in income. My spouse is irresponsible. I want more than I can afford.”
V Consider this. Very likely our money problem is lack of contentment. Scripture tells us we can be content in all circumstances. Philippians 4: 11. We want a bigger house that we can comfortably afford. Maybe our future income will grow to accommodate our desire. We acquire that big mortgage. We need transportation. A new car delivered to my door. Sweet! The list goes on. Our children are watching. Maybe listening to the arguments over money.
M Start with this basic truth. It’s all God’s on loan for us to steward wisely. There’s our motivation. A sure foundation for God dependence.
