Wrong Choices

I’m Miriam Neff with WWMM and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan.

M Our culture sends loud messages about spending, and many of them are WRONG. Have you heard this?  “When things are tough, the tough go shopping?”  Seriously. Spending changes that hard situation. Never!

V “Retail therapy.”  Again, really?  Spending makes the sadness of a broken relationship go away? Life’s harsh realities easier?  That new item will be in the giveaways long before the credit card is paid off.

When things are tough, walk, exercise, talk with an encouraging friend.  Read Scripture and pray.

M What is guaranteed?  God hears our prayers.  He wants to come alongside us.  His direction is always sound.  God is for us. We are not spared tough stuff. We’re not in it alone.
