Holiday Season And Priorities

I’m Miriam Neff, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money.

M Entering this holiday season, I’ve been convicted on my drift from focusing on the importance of Christ’s birth and Jesus in my life, and the myriad of traditions in our family. 

V Gift giving is relevant, but we’re wanting to focus on ‘Why.’  Because Jesus CAME.  He gave.  Has our giving become almost a free for all, hurried, rather than holy?  Our stockings to stuff have multiplied with spouses and grandchildren.  Lots of time and effort, even cost.

M We’ve decided to let folks know our focus will be on Jesus and what He means to each of us, and less focused on gift giving.  Will all receive that well?  We’ll keep you posted.  Christmas is about Christ first.
