Charitable giving # 2

M While our minds and lists are focusing on Christmas, it’s appropriate to think of charitable giving at year end. For some of us ‘vintage’ folks, we are required to take from our IRA’s (Individual Retirement Account)
V A very efficient giving strategy is giving an appreciated asset from that account, such as stocks or mutual funds directly to your church or ministry. You don’t sell it, pay taxes on the gains and then end up with a smaller amount to give. Charitable organizations accomplish more with those dollars than our government.
M I love to see more dollars going to faith-based groups and our churches.Jesus work on earth is critically important.Plan and maximize your giving.
