Mothers and retirement.
I’m Miriam Neff, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money
M One unfortunate fact regarding women and finances is that mothers lag behind in retirement savings. Causes vary. Given the gender pay gap, most earn less than men. They are less likely to have benefit’s like 401k plans. Job interruptions to care for children impact this.
V Lets look at solutions. We live longer than men. We suggest for every woman, start saving something. Auto add to a savings account helps. Do what we can today with what we have. Yes, we have a spending plan. But revisit and revise as inflation grows. Revise as we clearly see the future.
M Don’t ignore the God factor. We are dependent on Him. He knows our future, we do not. He sees our tiny, God honoring steps forward, and acts on our behalf.
