Trustee For Your Will

I’m Miriam Neff, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money.

M Every person should have a will and maybe even a trust.  It’s simply a way to direct whatever you’ve left on planet earth where you want it to go.  One important part is designating an executor or trustee, a person tasked to oversee and execute your wishes.

V   Pick someone who is trustworthy, available to act and competent.  They should at least be knowledgeable on record keeping and numbers. Common sense is good as is expertise.   One family member rather than a team is better. Revisit the choice every few years. Consider your family’s unique situation.  People change, divorce and other circumstances happen.

M Important prayer when choosing. Psalm 119:125, I am your servant; give me discernment.
