Why Accumulate

M The wealthy barn builder in Luke 12 had a motive: to take life easy, eat, drink and be merry.  He was selfish, not God focused.

V Think about motive when considering a purchase, especially major ones.  It is a very good thing to reflect on our motives.   Do we need that item? Is it in line with our goals and worldview?  Are we trying to impress someone, or fill a hole in our confidence that only God can fill.  Each of us has a God size hole that only God can fill. We cannot fill it with another person, and we sure cannot fill it with stuff. 

M Important perspective, is that purchase God honoring?
