Count The Cost

I’m Miriam Neff, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money

M  Biblical financial wisdom requires that we count the cost.  Luke 14: 28 refers to counting the cost of building a tower before you begin.  Proverbs states till your field and then build your house.  What’s coming in dictates housing.

V  In Accra Ghana, where home mortgages were not available at the time, we saw homes in the neighborhood that had a basement only with a covering and the family living there.  With the next money, they’d build a first-floor stone wall.  Bit by bit they build their home.  Paid for.  That’s biblical wisdom and financial freedom

M  We’re not saying don’t get a mortgage, just acquire one well within your budget allowing you to set aside that 3—6 month margin for unexpected costs.
