M Scripture often uses examples related to plants related to earning income. 

V Proverbs 27:18 He how tends the fig tree will eat its fruit.  Proverbs 12:11 He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, but he who pursues vain things lacks sense. 

Planting, tending, weeding, watering, harvesting.  Time, oversight, and lots of work are in common here.

M Our culture wants easy, quick and many people have fallen victim to that mindset.  Lost is the concept of the value of real work and savings.  Scripture reminds us, work, be wise, patient, and diligent.
