M Widows needing legal advice often feel uninformed on legal matters.  Result, they are vulnerable.  Sadly, I know of a lawyer who was asking a widow inappropriate questions about her life style entirely inappropriate to the matter at hand.

V It’s not necessarily a solution to bring your best friend to the meeting.  You need a wise advocate who has your back.  Look at sources to see how lawyers are rated and if they have any disciplinary issues with the state bar association.  You want a lawyer experienced in the area of your need.  If you have a complex matter, get one who specializes in that area you need, that will do the best job for you.  This will probably be more efficient, resulting in a fair price.
