06 Financial Habits 3

I’m Miriam Neff with Wise Women Managing Money and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan.

M One of the most powerful motivators for establishing wise financial habit’s is to know your ‘Why?’  Scripture refers to this repeatedly.  Paul says in I Timothy that those who want to get rich are headed for a trap and temptation.  He also says those who are rich can do much good and be generous. 

V Note the difference. What is our motivation?  To spend it on ourselves? Or to be wise Matthew 25 stewards.  The fool in Luke 12: 18 hoarded crops for himself.  Joseph stored crops to feed people during the upcoming famine.  Genesis 41. 

M It’s a heart thing, not a numbers thing. God knows our intentions and promises wisdom when we ask for it.
