Biblical Principles And Wealth

I’m Miriam Neff with Wise Women Managing Money and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan.

M Many who grow their financial competence have read The Millionaire Mind.  Here are some common characteristics.  Most became millionaires in their generation, not inheriting wealth.  Most millionaires maintain a modest lifestyle, buy used cars, and may not live in the largest homes. They have a lower divorce rate and often marry a person who, by their description is ‘down to earth’ and ‘unselfish.’

V Notice the similarities to biblical principles.  They possessed a consistent work ethic, lived below their means, and valued humility.  First, we emphasize that we live biblically because we love God and want to honor Him with our lifestyle.

M Accumulating wealth for wealth’s sake is not our goal.  Honoring God his principles and instructions are our goal.
