Taxes

I’m Miriam Neff and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan with Wise Women Managing Money.

M Folks are excited about tax breaks on the horizon.  Let’s talk about that from a biblical perspective.  Our taxes are meant to promote the common good, helping citizens through hard times. Luke 20:25, He said to them, “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

V Fact is, government is inefficient with those tax dollars.  If as Christians we take those extra tax dollars and promote the common good, which churches and faith-based organizations can do well, those extra dollars may do more good than in the past.  Look at the tax break as an opportunity to be more generous.

M Prayerfully consider and invest those dollars for eternal gains.
