Vetting A Contractor

M Most of us need remodeling, repairs, or even renovation of our living space at some time.  I dread this and want to keep it simple.  Not a good idea. Thought, planning, energy, time and money are required. 

V Likely a contractor will be needed.  The first important step is to get several proposals; at least three.  It is not uncommon for proposals to vary; some being 3x higher than another. Don’t assume that the high price means high quality.  Review credentials and experience.  Time invested early means less headaches later.

M Working with contractors for services rendered is an opportunity to be Christ like.  Open, clear, prompt in payment, treat them as you wish to be treated.
