Prayer In Finances

I’m Miriam Neff and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan with Wise Women Managing Money.

M What role does prayer play in your finances?  Finances are not near the top my prayer list, and that needs to change.  I’m grateful for the comfortable life God has given me, but I take much for granted. 

V A simple beginning is to ask God for what you need.  Home systems break, so you can pray specifically, ‘Lord give me wisdom to repair or replace.’  If your car is making funny noises, you can pray, ‘Lord, please direct me to a fair and competent source to determine a solution.’  Scripture says pray about everything. Philippians 4:6 With prayer and thanksgiving let your requests be known to God.  Don’t be anxious, pray.

M Before God shows the solution, He calms our heart. That’s prayer at work.
