Financially Stressed #4
I’m Miriam Neff with WWMM and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan.
M We’ve been examining the reality that most Americans are feeling financially stressed these days. Some might think that those making more than $100,000 a year aren’t feeling it.
V Not so. 57% of those folks feel stressed too. Now let’s look at the differences between men and women. 72% of women compared to 67% of men feel stressed about personal finances. They have less emergency reserves and live paycheck to paycheck. Single moms struggle greatly.
One reason for the gender difference may be the difference in financial education among girls and boys.
M We’re here to change that. Our book Wise Women Managing Money address 26 topics on finance and we speak with our women’s voices.
