Financially Stressed #3

I’m Miriam Neff with WWMM and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan.

M Why are so many Americans experiencing financial stress?  Research shows that only 45% of adults have an emergency fund, and for those who do, it’s less than 5 thousand dollars.  Given that mortgages, rent costs, and auto loans are set, that means inflation must be covered by only a few budget items.

V It’s never too late to learn hard lessons.  Rent is likely to go up.  This may mean moving to a lesser living space.  No coffee drive through, no expenditure on clothing for at least 6 months. For sure, it’s time to invest time quickly going over that spending plan, or lack thereof, and make changes.  Drastic changes.  Imagine the comfort and contentment of knowing you’ve made even a small change in a good direction.  Creativity required.
