M  At a recent Wise Women Managing Money conference, Valerie and I were asked, “Where do I begin?”  A young woman eager to learn needed a first step. 

V Collect everything about money in one place, paper or digitally.  Start recording everything that is going out and coming in. Daily!  Within a few months, your spending plan, whether intentional or not, sustainable or not, will be looking back at you.  You now know it.  Own it as your behavior.  Do you like it?  Now determine to change the news.  Are subscriptions more important than saving reserves for future ‘rainy days?’  Is door dash more important than the contentment of paying off that credit card at the end of each month?  Like eating an elephant, one bite at a time.

M Daily, yes.  Easy “No.’  But God honoring for sure.
