M An important financial gauge in Scripture is this.  Matthew 6: 21 ‘Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.’ What do you look at first every morning?  The weather for that day?  A glimpse at your portfolio on your smart phone?  A click on the political news or opinion of the day? 

V  Which of those will matter in a year?  5 years? or later?  Scripture has the only information relevant for today, and the future forever.  Opening the Bible every morning signals God that you treasure Him.  Your heart will be shaped, molded, motivated by His words, His promises, and His warnings. 

Yes, it’s so daily.  And yes, it’s so vital. 

M  All those other matters do matter, but not as much as treasuring Him.
