House Poor

I’m Miriam Neff, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money.

M Today being ‘house poor’ is common.  Homes in our location continue to lose value though in most places they are going up.  Give us tips for selling when the markets are unfriendly.

V Some buyers want to put in sweat equity, but many do not. Many updates and upgrades don’t add value. Be prepared and believe your realtor when they tell you the market reality.  You may not like what you hear.  The right price will save time on the market and further price drops.

M You and your husband agreed you’d be content, happy, with less space.  Stewardship, first priority.  Research what buyers want. Move in ready.  I see your faith growing because you don’t know what’s ahead.  God does.
