Thinking Ahead

I’m Miriam Neff, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money.

M Matthew 25 tells a parable about ten bridesmaids who were to be prepared to journey with the bride and groom at any moment.  Half prepared for the unexpected and had extra oil for their lamps.  Half did not.  When the bridegroom arrived, they were left behind.

V We know the primary message is to be prepared for Jesus’ return.  But this also talks of looking ahead.  Are we serving well, stewarding well?

M We know now that jobs are less predictable and life long careers are rare.  Planning ahead, we’re prepared, have done our part, and confidently leave the rest to God.  And look forward for our bridegroom, Jesus, to return.
