01 Charities In Inheritance Choices
I’m Miriam Neff, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money.
M Scripture is full of advice and examples of passing on wealth from one generation to another. To have no will or trust is to trust the probate courts in your state to distribute your wealth by their directives after paying from your wealth, court costs including at least 3 lawyers.
V As Christ followers, in addition to directing our wealth to the next generation—making wise choices, we can also direct wealth to charities, our churches, and organizations that promote biblical principles. Charitable giving can be in amounts or percentages. It can be done through donor advised funds. These can be set up before death and distributions made at any time including after we pass on.
