M We recommend having a will and most should have a trust as well.  Why? To direct what God, entrust to us to wise people after we enter Heaven.  Scripture has examples of inheritance squandered, and inheritance trickery.

V Both of these problems occur today.  Inheritors can dispute and sue.  Inheritors can waste everything.  Jacob tricked his father Esau out of his older brothers’ inheritance as the first born.  Read Genesis 25 and Hebrews 12.

The prodigal son requested his inheritance early, received it and spent it on wild living.  What a waste.  Ecclesiastes states there’s nothing new under the sun.  People are humans.
