Great financial challenges

 I’m Miriam  Neff,  and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money

 M What are our families greatest financial challenges today?  Inflation is the greatest challenge with 60% saying cost of living is their top financial challenge. The result?  Monthly spending exceeds income.  Included on their lists is not being able to get out from under car payments and credit card balances. 

 V Add to that, rents going up and no emergency fund.  No wonder families are experiencing financial challenges.  This is not a time for cruise control—no action, just frustration.

 In our book Wise Women Managing Money, we say look at those discretionary budget items first.  We can’t do without food, but much or the world lives on beans, and rice, or potatoes.  Quick changes aren’t easy but necessary.
