M If you are ready to grab your household budget and make it work for you, we have tools to help.  What budget percentage guidelines are realistic?

V Big chunk 25-35% household.  Mortgage, rent, real estate taxes and upkeep.  Don’t fall into the mortgage payment only trap.  Taxes, insurance, and upkeep are not incidentals.  They are regular, predictable, and necessary.

Transportation 10-25%.  Don’t think car payment.  Think payment, insurance, and upkeep.

You’ll love the free calculators on websites.  Zillow shows property taxes on each address.  Calculators show your mortgage payment based on borrowed amount in interest rate. Before you purchase, run the numbers.
