M Is your budget dependent on credit cards or maybe your income will be larger next year?   Are you comparing what you have with others?

V With our Christian beliefs being challenged in our culture, and 2017 promises to continue that erosion, our foundation for our spending must be secure.  Jesus’ parable in Matthew 7: 25--27 illustrates that a house built on sand will fall in the rain.  A house built on a rock will stand firm.  In 1 Samuel 16:7  God told Samuel that people look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

M Spending to compete with others is a foundation that cannot stand.  Credit card living is building on sand.
