Proverbs 31 Generosity

I’m Miriam Neff, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money

M Family teaching time on finances includes generosity.  We work, provide for our families, and are generous with others.  The Proverbs 31 woman did so.  Verse 20. “She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.

V Imagine her children going with her to deliver food to a poor family, to take warm cloaks to those who had none.  These were high impact learning moments.  We can help others pack for moving, help paint and freshen rooms.  The opportunities are endless.

M Our family was poor.  My parents often invited new strangers to our home for Sunday dinner.  My mother added water to the soup. Yet, guests were grateful.  Most we never saw again.  But we learned.  Generosity matters.
